Mac Music on the HomePod on the Mac OS X
Apple has given people very complex sound modes on i o s. When music is an airplay mode, none of the applescript features work any more. The volume doesn't actually change. It remains the same. And despite what sam said, you know, essentially controlling everything easily from the keyboard in this mode doesn't so far as i can tell. Although i did notice that one of the hompods still started playing the track for a second by itself and then popped into place. That would probably not happen once it's handed off to the home pod.
