Do not train through pain. If you do keep training through them, they get progressively worse over time. Marijuana studies show that it can indeed lower anxiety. It also appears to help some athletes reach a flow state and be more creative in their expression of their athletic abilities. There's research that it can suppress or, I guess you could say scrub fear memories.
