Is Docker Really the Init System?
Docker was not very stable. One of the biggest thinking points was should Docker even attempt to be the init system? And we thought the answer was no. Now, a long story short, what happens is eventually we realized and the Docker community agreed, now we have OCI. So we split the thing in pieces. You have run C, which is a little bit smarter about taking things and just doing one thing well. Then you have container D for orchestrating and creating sandboxes for all of this to occur. And so I think the system is way more stable than it used to be. My observation is that Docker was crazy successful and Docker was a product and almost a standard because
