What Is Sociology?

Sociology is far more interested in gathering data about society and the collective. It's focused on how social systems and social environments shape the individual advice versa. I stress to my students that if I'm doing my job right, the information that I share should inform your faith but it really doesn't speak to the empirical reality of your faith.
