When we're reading a book, even if it's in third person, a well-written third person story really puts you in the mind of the character. You can't replicate that in film and TV because you can see that person, it's not you,. But when you're reading, you're sensing everything from the inside. I think books occupy a very unique space and entertainment that maybe VR is the closest thing we could get to taking the place of.
