The History of Yemen

Yemen was once a loose collection of territories comprising different sheikdums, emerets and sultenates. In the centuries preceding the creation of yeman as a single, unified country in 19 90, it was a loosecollection of territories. The analysis presented is distilled from a decade of research mainly working with primary arabic sources. It also examines to what extent the war can be considered sectarian or proxy.
