Introduction
There have been some really unusual slash weird reports on Russian news outlets about a group of Ukrainian nationalists allegedly crossing the border into Russia. This is how the situation was covered by Russian state media on Thursday. It all started with a torrent of reports claiming that a group of up to 50 Ukrainian subversives were rampaging through two Russian villages actually and taking hostages, attacking civilians. And then the narrative changed - it was just one car that was attacked. And then Russian media said it was two cars, two people dead. And then a Russian opposition group calling itself the Russian Volunteer Corps based in Ukraine said it was them.
