The Dead End Is Newly Alive
Dante is telling us what we still need to hear right which is that you don't need to detach yourself from your body. You also can't eroticize everything arrows cannot be your master because ultimately you will just be dragged further and further down into the flesh. He's looking at her impossibly high and now impossibly beyond him. And he's asking what of this gift that she has given me or this blow that she has struck upon me. Can I take with me and how is this supposed to be more than just dust right unto dust we return? It's a dead end that's as old as philosophy but it is kind of newly alive.
