The Death of D&D Modules
When I used to see it there, I would only see the novels. Because for the most part, these bookstores weren't carrying D&D modules. Walden Books at least had like a narrow shelf that you could fit maybe two modules. It like faced, you know, totally towards the customer, you know? Well, that's a stark contrast to what they had been doing for so many years where the only NPC were actual NPCs. They weren't meant for you to be playing as a regular character.
