The Debt Ceiling Fight

AOC is writing this as if Kevin McCarthy hadn't already passed a house increase on the debt limit, which he did weeks ago. Meanwhile, I dug up quotes from January showing that Joe Biden has said repeatedly that the White House has said repeatedly they will not negotiate on the debt ceiling. AOC tweeted last night, why would anyone act like Kevin McCarthy has the votes right now? He hasn't done the work. He doesn't have the votes for his current proposal in the Senate. He doesn’t even have the votes in his own party and the GOP are starting to feel that. But I want to say that this tweet actually kind of excited me. It viscerated matches
