Decembres - The Emancipation of the Serfs

The officers who would form the corps of the decembres were appalled by this division. The patriotic war of 18 12 and the march to paris would not have been possible without sacrifice, suffering and bravery of the common russian peasant. They thought this cruel, inhumane and not a little bit ungrateful. So the emancipation of the serfs became of the two most important goals for our future decemberists.
