In Delaware, changes to the corporate code have to come from corporation law accounts with the Delaware bar. Weitzman argues that these lawyers inevitably make laws that protect and promote the Delaware franchise. He points back to the Corporate Transparency Act, which Delaware pushed hard to shape for federal protection of its right to register anonymously.
