Prayer is the direct experience, the lead in to the holy instant. By desiring the holy instant, you are ar giving your allegiance to eternity. You are pulling all your mind's energy away from time and space. The past is a defense and the future is a defence. Only jesus would tell you the past is gone, the future is but imagined.
