The Department of Astronomy and the Director of the Stewart Observatory
Stewart is the seventh director of Stewart Observatory and head of the Department Peter strip matter my predecessor served for 37 years I am not going to be doing that but I am in my 11th year. We are an unusually large department we have currently 341 undergraduate majors, 80 graduate students as well as 70 faculty 35 of them are tenure track. The near-furred camera was led by Marsha Reake former associate head and our department and Regents professor here she's also our very first holder of an endowed chair in an honor of Elizabeth Romer.
