St. Louis Streets - A Miniature of Benton Place
Former mayor Francis sleigh's administration continued the decades long practice of closing off previously open streets to traffic. Under sleigh many were replaced with giant concrete balls. The architect for this concept was a man by the name of Oscar Newman who published a book in the early 1970s called Defensible Space.
