Howard Rand was the very first person to use the term Christian identity. His thinking had a big impact on a fella named William Dudley Pelley, who we also talked about on an episode of Behind the Bastards. Hart and his fellow Christian identity believers had to be careful during World War II since their belief system was essentially just Nazism without the swastika. But that didn't stop him from railing against FDR's appointment of the first Jewish Supreme Court justice, Felix Frankfurter.
