Never think of users with disabilities as an isolated target group. There's so little icons and visuals that are shared across all cultures in the world. And also understanding how to visually hide an element without removing it completely from your document object mone is very important. Display none will actually remove your content from your accessibility tree. Let's talk about using aria again. Why is it important to up date state a? Well, as visually cighted users, it's pretty apparent to us when a model is open or when a drop down menu is expanded - but unfortunately these states don't get reflected to our blind users who can't see them.
