i think that there is a growing rate of emotional shallowness in this generation because of a lot of factors many outside of our control but it can be seen in the rise of entirely new terms that we have for relationships like situationships. A lot of people are more afraid of being emotionally vulnerable because of societal shifts away from commitment and away from traditional relationship archetypes. i don't think anyone wakes up and is like i want to be emotionally unavailable i want to push away the people that love me It's not a conscious decision it just kind of happens but it's still worth being able to identify that part of yourself first.
This week we are discussing the science and psychology of emotional unavailability and breaking down the misconceptions and myths about emotional unavailability in our 20's, particularly when it comes to dating people who won't commit. We’re going to break down exactly what emotional unavailability versus availability looks like and how it manifests in relationships, what emotional unavailability means on a personal, individual level, the difference between men and women when it comes to this concept and how to develop emotional availability and grow closer to the ones we love and attract those who are equally emotionally available.
