The Giving of the Spirit in John 20

I still don't know exactly what it is that's happening in John 20. I think this has more to do with God, and what he's done now that he's accomplished. When he breathes on the disciples and says, receive the Holy Spirit, it doesn't mean in that moment that they were receiving the spirit. He could have been declaring something that was going to happen at a later moment. So, making sure that we keep those distinguishing markers separated is actually helpful for this conversation.
