Is Virtual Reality an Illusion?

I am trying to argue, as well as to introduce these ideas. I'm trying to argue for for a certain point of view. And possibly there are cases where, like almost anyone arguing the case, i slip from perfect neutrality to putting my finger on the scales in favour of my view. But i do want to argue that virtual realities can be real in many important senses. That's said, if there's a particular aspect of this that you're worried about, or a sense in which you're inclined to think they're not real, i'd be very interested to hear it.
