Is There a Restructuring of Agriculture and Subsidy?

We essentially as a society in North America, a grand uncontrolled experiment on ourselves starting at the end of the Second World War with trying to see whether subsidizing commodity crops and growing a lot of cheap food would actually keep everybody healthy. And so if we look at sort of the regimen of subsidized cheap food and conventional agriculture is subsidized in various ways, it led to expensive medicine or it helped contribute to expensive medicine. Wouldn't it be so cool if the health insurance companies could carry that gap between healthy food and transitioning agriculture and call it a prescription? Wouldn't that be so cool? Anyway, that's my little fantasy.
