The Transition Zone in Norway
In the winter it's still light for a couple of hours during the day, even though the sun doesn't rise. The other extreme in the summer is where the sun is in the sky all day. In archaeology we have permanent days in summer which means by then most of the snow is gone. And so the dark season is actually the first moment we can relax and have a drink and a pup.
