The Dude and the Cold War

It seems to be a kind of comment on what war looks like. I think the idea that the dude could be anything like a hero and not just like grossly irresponsible. There are really serious issues at play. It's in many ways quite serious, both domestically and abroad. And somebody like the dude is guilty of a kind of dereliction of his duty as a citizen. That seemed right to me.
