The Importance of Plains Indian Sign Language

I was born in Oklahoma. I became deaf at the age of five with spinal meningitis. English was my first language. And then when I went to the deaf school, I became an ASL user American sign language. So I think that ASL was really became my native language. Even though it's not my first language, it's my nativelanguage.
