David Beckham's $500 Million Plus Contract With Major League Soccer
David Beckham signed a unique contract with MLS in the LA Galaxy specifically that turned his $6.5 million annual salary into more than $500 million. He was guaranteed an undisclosed percentage of all club revenue and could buy an expansion team for $25 million when he retired. The deal is one of the best sports business deals in history, but it wasn't great at the time.
