The Ambivalence of Freud
Harvard professor went to see Freud because he was interested in personality psychology. He told him about a little boy on the train who complained of being dirty. But when Alport started talking, Freud responded as if it had been his patient. That sort of turned Freud or Alport off a little bit and that separated them from other psychologists like Skinner.
