Is There a Lot of Cynicism in Politics?

There's a lot of cynicism, that people don't actually believe they have autonomy or influence over government processes and politics in general. What i see though, in the last ten years or so, is that there are a lot of politically engaged citizens particpants, but they're only engaged on line. So if you get fired up about an issue on line, great. The next step is to take it off line. Get involved in an organization.
