The Fire of the Neuron Is a Response to the World
Our experience is a response to the world, not a description of the world. We might take a million neurons firing as a patch of blue - but that's how we hold all of those neurons as one thing. Dogs have 40 times as many sensory neurons for smell that we do,. That's double the number that we have for sight. So their world, their sensory world, is utterly different from us. There's no right way of closing it.
