The Relationship Between Radicardia and Torsad
The original description of torsad was in an elderly patient with complete heart block. In this case, there's pauses because the heart rate is very slow. The QT interval is invariably long for two reasons. Some individuals develop more QT prolongation when they are going slowly than other patients. Patients come in with recurrent dizziness or recurrent syncope.
