The Argument That Writers Are Being Unfair
"I always love when people say Hollywood is socialist. I'm like, Hollywood is the most brutal capitalist competition on the earth," he says. "If we don't want to work like this, we're allowed to say no." The average career of a screenwriter is seven years, and there's only 2000 of us working at any given time,. Like really, it's closest approximation to the writers jobs, the writer-executives are negotiating for what they want.
