i think this trend towards a boxing people into ye gender volls as tis is very reactionary. Maybe it is a reaction to the increase in participation of women in public life. Am, for instance, a lot of russian revolutionaries wanted to raise the status of women to match men when it comes to social and political rights. Those countries never really attain that. But am, they did greatly improve thestatus of women in relation to what they were before,. which is essentially like the semi feudal paradime.
