Dylan, Lennon, and the Beatles
Dylan and Lennon are both wordsmiths in a way that the others aren't like they are poets, not first and foremost. And I think what's interesting about his interaction with Dylan is that it's not a kind of slavish imitation. It's really an influence. So he does, you know, it washes back the other way too,. Because I don't think Dylan, Dylan could not really see himself as a rock star until he kind of fully encountered the Beatles and Lennon.
