How Did You Get Involved in Drafting Legislation?

In 1994 or 95 when there was a meeting at the Pegasus Hotel which was this big hotel in Gannett's even bigger now. I went and it was interminably boring but in the break I was able to talk to one of the government officials about their draft environmental act. He didn't brush me off he said oh well send me something about it. The next thing I knew, they asked me if I'd like to actually work on this as a consultant. So that's how I became involved in drafting the legislation. And what kinds of things did you work on there? I worked on generally commercial stuff because really all my training and all everything that I'd been doing was commercial
