The White Privilege in the Case of Jordan Nealey

Jordan Nealey, an unhoused subway performer and Michael Jackson impersonator was on the F train when Daniel Penny put him in a chokehold. The medical examiner determined that Nealey died of compression to his neck, caused by the chokehold and they ruled his death a homicide. Prosecutors are still presenting evidence to a grand jury and if the grand jury returns an indictment against Penny, prosecutors will then be able to proceed with a felony case. If convicted, Penny could spend up to 15 years in prison.
