In my pocket, I had a book. I could have switched on a podcast or just scrolled through social media - but I've been trying to avoid too much time on my phone lately. Sometimes, you have to stop and appreciate what is around you. The copy that I had with me was one I'd picked up in England in a Sainsbury supermarket. It's called Selected Short Stories by H.G. Wells,. the British writer of science fiction stories from the late 19th century. wrote The War of the Worlds.
This is the longest episode of LEP so far, and it's a solo ramble. I talk freely about a lovely day I had in Paris earlier this year, which really stuck in my memory. Relax, follow my words, hang out with me for 3 hours, get stranded on a desert island of the imagination, and then get rescued. Includes a haircut, a sleep and a t-shirt change during the episode.
