Leibniz's Metaphysics of Multiplicity

I think he uses that concept to go against the notion of substance or even atomism. He goes this idea is no when you get down to the basic constituents of matter or anything else it's a fold right which leads to his metaphysics of multiplicities and so forth. I think for a long time the fold was an operative concept for delirious and he wanted to make it thematic by writing the book on liveness. Sometimes I wish I wish we kept the word manifold because it would have made clear the relation to the fold and made clear the mathematical connections more than the term multiplicity does.
