IQ tests confer higher scores on people who are already tracked to perform well in these areas. Tests do not actually tell us how capable a person is of thinking taking in and using new information making decisions or solving problems. They tell us nothing about how variable a person's score could be if they were coached and consulted the way that some families do. I feel like I want to take that out and frame it and post it everywhere. People just don't have the same resources. We are not operating at the level of some of the Scandinavian countries that have like perfect literacy and you know have free education from birth right.
