The Problem With the Review System
Most journals don't publish the reviews so you just never get to know what actually happened. Some anonymous folks who teamed up with some bloggers at data colada which is like a big replication psychology blog they look at the data and realize that it's really bad. They basically like took the data and added five to all the numbers to make it look like the result is significant. You can tell in part because you can do some statistical forensics but you also just see that the copied data is in a different font than the other data.
