The Demand Side Explanation of Gentrification
I find this political dimension of your book very interesting and very important. I hope we have time to get back to it later but for now maybe you could talk a little bit about how you define gentrification and where does your book stand in this very contentious field of gentrification studies. And implying the danger of oversimplification, I would say that most of the gentrification literature is guided by two basic explanations for gentrification. Both explanations sort of have their value but they don't actually provide much guidance in what to do.
