Taylor Swift's people actually issued a statement on social media saying that they had asked Ticketmaster over and over again if they could handle the volume. Chris the Brown, who is a senior policy analyst at the American Economic Liberties Project, explained to Vox that this Swift's failure is a symptom of a bigger problem. The merger gave Ticketmaster a virtual monopoly over Ticketbying, consumers, artists like Swift, and then use where they play.
