Paul Simon and the Folk Scene

That folk scene in the early mid 60s was a real hive of activity, so much going on it was just generally speaking so exciting. The audiences the organisers and the musicians were all the same age. We were all 18 to 25, and mutually supportive. If somebody sang a song that was new to everybody and your duty was to go and find another version of it, which you would. That was the duty. But he was always, you know, always friendly, always curious and he loved Skye Obra Faire and he learned it.
