The History of the English Language

There's nothing inherent about the thousand consonants of English that would make it inherently sexist. So much as the people in power have used it. Nearly every word the English language offers to describe a woman has at some point during its lifespan been colored some shade of obscene. And there was this linguist named Muriel Schulz who wrote this 1975 paper called the Semantic Derrogation of Woman.
