In this episode, part two of our three episode many series, travels with mike revisiting spots that john steinbeck wrote about in his class 19 62 book, travels with charley in search of america. Steinbeck drove the country for three months with his dog charley, and wrote about what he saw and the conversations he had with regular people. Dozen years ago, i went to some places on steinbeck's journey,. And in each spot, collaborated with a local artist. I followed the artists around and asked them to talk about how things had changed or not in the intervening half century, and to respond to steinbeck across the years. Ray will be reading
