i saw a lot of this play out under the trump administration. i think that the organization on the bureucratic politics aspect of this is significantly down played. The one issue, when it comes to bureaucracy and then the rational act or model, is that trump and his generals are all werned in their own little world. What makes me confident about the process that's going on in government is if you have an actual position of responsibility for changing things like national security policy,. If you're just a tweeder who wants to leave office because he was redistricted into your office by some sort of political system... That requires somebody who thinks in the chair.
