Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes

The early guide lines for cardivascular disease tended to ignore adverse pregnancy outcomes as a risk factor. It's only been in the last ten years, i would say, that the hart association guide lines have started to recognize and call out adverse pregnancy outcomes as an important risk factor. I think that it's still coming under some degree of early learning about this. And when i've lectured about this at different grand rounds, i find that a lot of cartiologist, for example, still don't have any awareness of this problem.
