I found it took quite a few days of intense willpower, but by the second week, I'd got it bedded in. My body kind of knew that when it woke up in the morning, this was how I'd be spending my day and it would have felt kind of weird to do anything else. If you're younger, I'd be aiming for far less each day. And going the other way, I certainly wouldn't advise doing significantly more than this each day for any length of time. You'll only exhaust yourself and end up working way longer to essentially get the same amount done as if you'd worked more sensible hours.
