Lydia just sounds like you just turn the dial all the way up and then she disappears. And then she's just a piece of howling dogs. It feels like it's gonna go, and I don't know, maybe I would have liked a little bit better if it had just gone full weirdo creepypasta. The people who keep doing like their PR office like make work stuff while everything else is kind of spitting out all around them are another place that the book finds comedy.

Several People Are Typing was mostly written pre-pandemic but failed to garner publisher interest until a virus locked us all inside our homes with nothing to turn to but our jobs and our friend-Slacks. It manages to perfectly encapsulate what it feels like to use Slack for anything, with a dash of creepypasta for good measure.
