I find that I can get my thought process more effectively when I'm moving on stage than when I'm standing still. It helps me to move when I think, because it allows me to put rhythm into my speaking. When you talk, you use your whole body, you might not realize it, but everyone does. You can subtly, we affect our body language, we emphasize things by using our body language. And also we think physically too. Also, he probably gave you a big rush of oxygenated blood to the brain.
