The Confounding Situation of Positive DAT and Negative Eluit With IgG
An eluit can concentrate the antibody and you may see, this sees a very weekly few antibodies coding the red cell surface. You can detect them better in an eluit because of its ability to concentrate antibodies. What about that confounding situation where the DAT is positive with IgG, but the eluit is negative? Again, it could be a concentration, but there's all a lot of other things that can stick to red cells besides blood group antibodies.
