I love, I've always loved collaborating. And by the same token, I love being in complete control. What I really like in life is the balance. It's great because you get to talk to somebody on the phone all the day and you write and you send each other bits and you make each other laugh and that's marvelous. But it took about two years of writing American Gods before I was no longer a social animal. You know, I play well with others knowing that I can always heal on my own.
